The need for reliable backup power has never been greater than in today's always connected and on-demand world. The ElectraGen™ family of fuel cell systems was developed to specifically address today's telecommunications backup power needs while solving the limitations of current backup power solutions. The solutions are self-contained critical power backup systems which combine a PEM fuel cell stack, power electronics and controls to create a fully integrated backup power solution.
A growing number of critical power sites are located in unmanned or "outside plant" locations (for vertical markets including remote wireless and wireline sites, broadband, public safety, and utility substations), and for that reason the ElectraGen product line has been developed for low maintenance and fast service and also offers a wide range of remote communications options. Each system in the ElectraGen™ family has a standardized 19" rack mount modular design that enables rapid field service by technicians with minimal training. And because providing service to outside plant locations is expensive, the ElectraGen™ family has been designed to require only one scheduled service visit per year. To further reduce field service requirements the ElectraGen™ products offer communications options ranging from simple dry contacts to a sophisticated Ethernet user interface that allows detailed remote monitoring, control and preventive maintenance.
